Sheremetyevo overpass in Moscow

The construction started: June 2002;
The construction completed: November 2003.

The overhaul of the existing overpass with the replacement of the span structures and repairs of supports.
The configuration is 8.35+13.5+20.75+13.5.

The project involved building temporary pedestrian bridges and service lines; switching traffic to one half of the overpass; removing the asphalt pavement; dismantling banisters and fences; dismantling the reinforced concrete slab of the roadbed; dismantling old overpass structures; replacing elements and repairing supports; erecting new metal span structures; installing a solid reinforced concrete slab of the roadbed; paving the road; switching traffic to the repaired half of the overpass; repairing the other half of the overpass; installing stairways; landscaping.

GROVE cranes with a payload of 50 to 120 tons were used to dismantle the old structures, preassemble and erect new span structures.

The construction was performed without interrupting road traffic, in a restricted setting, above the railway tracks.
