Rock-fill embankment of Boguchansk HPP

In 2006, the primary and additional works putting in place 6,503.84 m3 of cast hydrotechnical asphalt concrete into the impervious diaphragm were completed. The asphalt concrete diaphragm is the primary waterproof element of the rock-fill embankment of Boguchansk HPP built in such harsh climatic conditions for the first time.

A complex of earth and rock work in building a rock-fill dam in the volume of 1,154,339 m³, inspection shafts made of 71.9 m3 of preassembled ferroconcrete, and concrete facing of the right-bank abutment of 454.2 m3 had also been performed.

A powerful concrete placing complex, including a concrete plant, crawler cranes, and mobile formwork, had been set up on the site.
