Tunnel construction / Bolshoy Novorossiysky Tunnel
Construction of New Bolshoy Novorossiysk Tunnel of Krymskaya - Novorossiysk Section, North Caucasus Railway Line. The work started in 2005 and completed in 2009 (First Phase), May 2011 (Second Phase). The new tunnel is 1,627-meters long. Second Phase: Old tunnel reconstruction. Clearances were changed, surveillance systems were installed, and the two-track tunnel has become a single-track tunnel.
