Railway construction / Bridge over the Volga River (city of Astrakhan)

Combination Railway/Motorway Bridge over the Volga River in the city of Astrakhan (Trusov Bridge)

Bridge rework at the 420th kilometer of the Chervlennaya – Uzlovaya – Astrakhan section, Privolzhskaya Railway.

The work started in 2007 and was completed in 2009.

The reconstruction work included installation of cantilever beams and cable ducts on four bridge spans; consolidation of the underwater pier parts.

A utility bridge (cable bridge) was installed by vertically lifting the span of the length L=66 m. A 300-ton"Bogatyr" floating crane was used to install this 70-ton structure.
