Pedestrian Bridge at Chishmy Station, Kuybyshev Railway Line
Construction of a new pedestrian bridge at the 1574th kilometer, Picket4 at Chishma Station of Kuybyshev Railway Line.
The work started in September 2010 and is to be completed in June 2011.
Bridge design: 43.3+20.3+25.5+23.0+20.3 m. The total bridge length including the exit stairways is 240.92 m.
The builders of the "Stroitelnomontazhny poezd" LLC have dismantled the old pedestrian bridge and erected the new bridge on a new centerline over 15 station tracks.
Scope of Operations:
- Construction of bridge pillar footings and exit stairways;
- Installation of the steel span girders, which were lifted by EDK-1000 Railway Crane to the bearings;
- Installation of the exit stairway steel structures;
- Putting in place the bridge roadway and drainage, installation of overhead contact system guard shields, railing, lighting, and grounding on the span deck on temporary stairways;
- Dismantling of the railing, light poles, guard shields, and roadway of the old bridge;
- Removal of the span decks, pillars, footings, and stairways of the old bridge and hauling away the removed structures and debris;
- Restoration of the fence at the station and landscaping including asphalt paving.
The work was conducted within the intervals between trains on the tracks and also within windows when traffic on certain tracks was closed.
