Small artificial structures

Small artificial structures, such as culverts and small bridges, require no less attention than major bridges during reconstruction and construction. Moreover, due to the small job scope and considerable distances between sites along the track, additional difficulties arise during in “windows” on functional tracks.

MOST Construction Company specialists install culverts made of solid ferroconcrete or individual corrugated elements. A corrugated shell is used in major repairs of pear-shaped rubble or brick pipes of more than 2.5 meters in height.

Digging through the earth fill, laying the foundation, and installing pipe sections are performed under the protection of a temporary suspended packet-type span structure developed by MOST jointly with Giprotransput institute.

All operations are performed without interrupting train traffic.

MOST Construction Company has built or reconstructed total of over 2,500 small artificial structures in the network of the Russian railways over the years of its operation.
