Overwork of a seven-span single-track bridge over the Upa River at the 135th kilometer milestone of Tupik - Plekhanovo section, Moskovskaya Railway Line.
The work started in October 2008 and was completed in March 2009.
Bridge design: 3х23.0+45.0+3х23.0. The bridge was built in 1939.
The work scope included replacement of all bridge span decks with footing reconstruction (tablet removal and replacement); building of new stairway exits along the embankment slopes.
GMK-3180 Crane was used for installation of the abutment bays, and the channel span deck was replaced by launching using 100-ton hydraulic jacks. The old channel span deck was removed by dropping it from temporary supports, with subsequent disassembly using MKAT-40 Truck Crane. The span replacement operations were conducted within traffic windows.
