Railway bridge across the Volga River (Zelenodolsk)
The Bridge is at the 754th kilometer of the Kanash-Agryz section of the Gorky railway.
Work started: September 1, 2005; completed: November 30, 2009.
The Bridge structure is 18.2+55+6х158+39.6 meters. Metal span structures L=158 and 55 m (trusses) with tracks on ferroconcrete slabs.
The project involves replacing all the span structures; repairing supports and abutments using the injection technique; underwater repairs of supports. The span measuring L = 18.2 meters was disassembled and assembled using truck-mounted telescopic cranes. The spans measuring L = 55 m, 158 m, and 39.6 m were assembled on piers and installed with the subsequent replacement using floating systems.
Vibrating pile drivers and Junttan PM 26 LC drilling assemblies were used to install piles and set up temporary supports. The assembly and installation of the span structures were performed using high-payload cranes KАТО – 500, HITACHI, GROVE.
The Bridge reconstruction is being done in the conditions of heavy train traffic.
