Railway bridge across the Vyatka River

The Bridge is at the 942nd kilometer of the Yudino – Kizner section of the Gorky railway.
Work started: November 1, 2002; Work completed: October 1, 2007.

The Bridge structure is 22.7+2х127.26+33.6 meters. The metal span structures (trusses) L=127.26 with the span through the tracks on reinforced concrete slabs. The metal deck spans L = 22.7 m and 33.6 m (trusses) with tracks on reinforced concrete slabs.

The project involves replacing all the span structures; repairing supports and abutments using the injection technique. The spans 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 were assembled using the cantilever method. The span 4-5 was assembled on a temporary support and subsequently slid into a place.

Vibrating pile drivers and Junttan PM 26 LC drilling assemblies were used to install piles and set up temporary supports. The assembly and installation of the span structures were performed using high-payload cranes KАТО – 500, HITACHI, GROVE.

The bridge reconstruction was carried out in the conditions of heavy train traffic.
